David Lee King is the Digital Services Director at Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library, where he plans, implements, and experiments with emerging technology trends. He speaks internationally about emerging trends, website management, digital experience, and social media, and has been published in many library-related journals. David is a Library Journal Mover and Shaker. His newest book is Face2Face: Using Facebook, Twitter, and Other Social Media Tools to Create Great Customer Connections. David blogs at http://www.davidleeking.com.

ITS is also pleased to highlight:

  • Case studies from libraries: "What we did and how we did it" - featuring Andrea Bunker (Woburn Public Library, Woburn, MA) and Sarah Leonardi (Amherst Town Library, Amherst, NH).  They will speak about the process of re-designing a library website, from beginning to end.*
  • Panel of NELA librarians: "Why we made the choices we did" - featuring Theresa Maturevich (Concord Free Public Library, Concord, MA), Sandy Cahillane (Bay Path University, Longmeadow, MA), Steve Butzel (Portsmouth Public Library), and Dave Bartos (Morse Institute Library, Natick, MA).  The panelists will lead a general conversation about library websites.
